The episode opens with Kevin Harrigan (Paddy Considine) warning that Richie Stevenson (Geoff Bell) is luring them into a trap. Harry Da Souza (Tom Hardy) reminds him of Richie requesting the whole Harrigan family attend Tommy Stevenson’s (Felix Edwards) wake at their house. Refilling their cups, Kevin asks who was the screw he mentioned earlier. Harry says Alan Rusby (Nigel Lindsay). Kevin has a flashback of Rusby assaulting him. Harry tells him about seeing Rusby at the senior car home that Maria (Ellen Costa) is trying to get her mother into. Kevin receives a call from Conrad Harrigan (Pierce Brosnan) ordering him and Harry to come to Cotswold for a Council of War. En route to Cotswold, Harry contacts Jan Da Souza (Joanne Froggatt) about being unable to attend brunch and Tommy’s funeral. She warns that it is a trap. He believes it will be safe. She claims to be contemplating suicide and ends the call. Jan says what to wear to Stevenson’s funeral. Gina Da Souza (Teddie Allen) suggests a Flak jacket.

At Cotswold, Maeve Harrigan (Helen Mirren) flops a tray of meat on the table. Harry tells Kevin that Jan is livid about the funeral. Kevin says Bella Harrigan (Lara Pulver) is the same. Conrad receives a call from Brendan Harrigan (Daniel Betts) asking why he wasn’t invited to the family conflab. Conrad says he just wasn’t. Maeve takes the phone and informs him that they are discussing Richie’s invitation to Tommy’s funeral. Brendan asks if he is invited. She wishes him a lovely day and ends the call. She professes to love him but calls him a donkey cock. A short time later, Kevin insists Richie wants them together, so he can mop them up. Maeve scoffs at his comment and suggests they go. Conrad asks Harry’s opinion. Harry describes Richie’s invitation as “genius” and says they are damned either way. He tells them if Richie wanted to start a war, he would have killed him and Moody (Tommy Flanagan). Eddie Harrigan (Anson Boon) argues that it wouldn’t have been eye-for-an-eye because Harry isn’t a Harrigan. Kevin asks him to shut up and blames him for the mess they are in. Conrad intervenes. Harry points out that the press and the police will be there. He says Richie wants to send them a message that he knows something and humiliate them. He reminds them that they would be unarmed in enemy territory and urges Eddie to not overdrink. Harry claims to have a source to will help them get guns inside the Stevenson house.

Seraphina is examining a piece of 19th-century jewelry when Brendan arrives and asks for an hour of her time. She reluctantly agrees. At Cotswold, Conrad gives Harry a bag of weapons, 50k in cash, and grenades. Harry says it may not be possible to get it all inside the Stevenson’s house before leaving. Eddie asks Conrad if it is a good idea. Conrad says no one asked him. Agreeing with Eddie, Maeve describes it as a “perilous strategy.” At a restaurant, Brendan hands Seraphina a small box. She opens it to reveal a ruby from Mozambique in Southeast Africa. He says his contact’s source in Antwerp has 20 more uncut stones. At Cotswold, Kevin stands on a dock and tosses a stone into the water. He has a flashback of Rusby asking about his butt and calling him a little b**ch. Kevin angrily throws more stones into the pond. Young Kevin (Jack Rowan) looks at Rusby. Kevin weeps. At the restaurant, Brendan complains about being left out of the conflab and suggests they show their smug family that they can deliver millions. Knowing the rubies were come by illegally, Seraphina declines his proposal. He claims to have an interested buyer in Russia but doesn’t have the funds to buy them. She demands 75% of the commission. He offers her half.

Harry removes mobile phones from a safe. Later, he meets Freddie Shaw (Bradley Turner) at a pub. He says rumor has it he is unhappy working for the Stevensons. Freddie refuses to betray Richie. Harry pulls Freddie’s phone out of his pocket, lays it on the bar, and unlocks it. He pulls up photos of Freddie and Vron Stevenson (Annie Cooper) in bed together. After giving him the phone, Harry tells him to store the guns and grenades in the Stevenson house and the 50k is his. He asks him to say, “I’m the weakest link.” Freddie reluctantly repeats it. Harry tells him that he would have to be him right now and leaves. Elsewhere, Alice (Emily Barber) asks Jan if she would like to go out for a drink tomorrow. Jan says they have plans to attend the funeral of Tommy, who only his mother will miss. After the call ends, Alice informs DS Ivan Fisk (Luke Mably) and DC Mukasa (Gemma Knight Jones).

At the graveyard, Maeve tells Conrad that she wanted to look like Jackie Kennedy after JFK was assassinated. Taking a swig from her flask, she says funerals get the juices flowing. He asks her to put the alcohol away and be nice. Kevin offers to take Bella home. Eddie claims to be anticipating Tommy’s wake. Kevin explains to Bella what to do if things start to get out of hand. She tells him that she trusts Harry. Kevin says but not him. Eddie asks Kevin if he has an issue with Harry. Kevin assures him everything is good between them. Bella asks if he trusts Harry. He doesn’t answer. Richie comforts Vron. The Harrigans emerge from their limos. DC Brandon (James Clay) snaps photos and Fisk observes from a nearby vehicle. Harry escorts the Harrigans to meet Richie and Vron. Conrad offers his condolences and shakes Richie’s hand. Richie thanks him. Each member of the family follows suit. Eddie steps forward. Richie says hello Edward. Eddie says hello Richard. Richie asks to be called Richie. Eddie asks to be called Eddie, offers his condolences, and says Tommy was a right laugh. He reaches over to kiss Vron on the cheek. Upset, she rushes away. Kevin criticizes him. Harry threatens to strangle him if he does it again.

The pallbearers carry Tommy’s casket down the aisle. Richie touches the casket and starts to deliver an eulogy. Eddie and Harry look at each other. Maeve nudges Conrad and says Richie is staring at him. At a whisper, she nags him to not let Richie humiliate him. He threatens her if she doesn’t shut up. Later, Fisk and Brandon snap photos of the Harrigans arriving outside the Stevenson house. Security guards screen each of them for weapons before letting them enter the house. Eddie slips upstairs. Harry urges Jan to smile. Kevin asks if anyone has seen Eddie. Upstairs, Eddie is searching the bathroom and finds some drugs. He cuts it, snorts a line, and looks up to see Harry. He tells him to “f**k off.” Harry pushes him back and sees Eddie going for the scissors. He picks them up, drops them back on the counter, and tells him to do his nails. Upon leaving, Harry asks him to join the others and pretend to be a man. Eddie’s eyes fill with tears.

Harry collects the weapons from the garage and rejoins the others. Conrad tells Harry to ask Richie why he is staring at him. Harry asks why he is staring at Richie. Richie says Valjon (Peter Ferdinando) didn’t kill Tommy. Harry holds a grenade, ready to pull it. Richie expresses his hatred of Conrad and wants the worst for the Harrigans. He respects the fact they attended Tommy’s funeral but Eddie is fair game. Richie asks if they have a deal. At Cotswold, Conrad fishes from the dock. Later, Maeve wakes up on the sofa and insists someone spiked her drink. Conrad denies it was him. She knocks his trout on the floor and accuses him of insulting her. He urges her to calm down. She calls Paul (Emmett J Scanlan).
