Geordie finally admits that the woman earlier had a gun and confirms that is the reason he lost her. However, he admits getting shot is a part of his job and not Sidney’s. Again, he attempts to send Sidney away. Sidney returns home and chats with Amanda about his dinner with Margaret. Sidney speaks about Valentine’s will and naming Bartlett as his executor. Sidney makes an offhand comment that Bartlett killing Valentine would be like him killing Geordie. Amanda forces him to conjure up reasons to kill Geordie and he admits he wouldn’t, unless Geordie asked him to do so. That sends Sidney on the hunt for Geordie. He rushes to the police stations and looks at the coroner’s report for Valentine. He also learns about Geordie’s call for backup from Phil.

Sidney rushes over to the Rivercam Boat Club to find Geordie. Geordie attempts to arrest Kit, but is stopped by the mysterious woman (Lisa Diveney). She pulls a gun, but Sidney arrives and manages to whisk him away in the nick of time. Giles arrives, as Sidney begins to explain that Valentine was in on the murder and asked Kit to kill him. He reveals that Val had lung cancer and the secret service used his illness to slide Bartlett into the good graces of the Russians. Sidney admits Lyall left behind all of the clues and Giles agrees that Sidney is correct. Although Giles sees Lyall as a hero, Sidney insists he is nothing more than a man, who lied to his wife.

The mysterious woman arrives and is revealed to an Agent. Minutes later, they watch from afar as Bartlett meets up with the Russians. At the bar, Sidney explains to Geordie that Giles was angry with him, because he dated his daughter for awhile. They head to Mya’s house and tell her that her husband died a hero. Sidney gives another sermon, before visiting Margaret with flowers. He offers to make amends for the previous date and she agrees. At the end of the episode, Sidney and Amanda share dessert. Guy Hopkins (Tom Austen) arrives and picks up Amanda. Before he can leave, he attacks Sidney and tells him to stay away from Amanda.

Grantchester Review

Another excellent episode of Grantchester. The episode tested the friendship of Sidney and Geordie. Ultimately, it showed that the bond between the two men was stronger than either originally thought. It also closely resembled the relationship of Valentine and Kit. The episode was somewhat of a spy thriller and remained mysterious throughout. Finally, the return of Guy Hopkins brought a bit of conflict, which will likely continue into subsequent episodes.

All in all, a great episode, which deserves a n 8 out of 10. Be sure to catch up with previous recaps of Grantchester right now!

Grantchester Review

The third episode of Grantchester was likely the best of the season. It was fast and furious, with a little bit of comedy and romance thrown in between. Sidney has potentially finally gotten over Amanda, but will she be able to let him go and learn to live with her decision to marry? Plus, Leonard’s relationship with Daniel is beginning to bloom, but what will happen when others learn the truth? All in all, an excellent episode, which deserves an 8.5 out of 10. Gary Bell executed Grantchester

Grantchester Review

The 5th episode of Grantchester’s second season was undoubtedly the best yet. The episode was truly dramatic and ultimately very depressing. The episode worked to pull Sidney further away from his friends, especially Geordie. Gary finally met his fate and the outcome will most likely have a major impact on Sidney and the rest of the townsfolk. At the same time, the case revolving around Eddie’s death put Geordie in a similar situation as Sidney with Gary. Still, Geordie showed no sympathy or remorse for the executed man.

All in all, a great episode. A 9 out of 10 is deserved. Catch up with previous Grantchester recaps right now!

When the Grantchester series 2 finale begins, we jump back to 1948 and witness Sidney Chambers (James Norton) and Sam Milburn (Andrew Knott) getting dressed in their vicar garb for the first time. We learn a little about the relationship between the two men, before we jump into the present, 1954. Geordie Keating (Robson Green) and Mrs. Maguire (Tessa Peake-Jones) chat about Sidney’s current behavior and his loss of faith. After this, we jump to the bar and see Sidney getting drunk. He speaks with Harding Redmond (Neil Morrissey) for a brief period, before harassing the barkeeper and heading home. While Sidney awakes with a hangover, Mrs. Maguire pays a visit to Amanda Hopkins (Morven Christie). Maguire attempts to encourage Amanda to visit Sidney and help him overcome his troubles.

Grantchester Season 2 Finale Recap

Guy (Tom Austen) rudely interrupts and shows off his angry side once more. Next, Sidney and Leonard Finch (Al Weaver) have breakfast with the Archdeacon (Geoff McGivern). Sidney lets Dickens out of the house and spots someone standing near Abigail’s tombstone. When he approaches, he discovers it is his old colleague, Sam. Sam leaves behind a gift and attempts to convince Sidney to forgive him. During this time, the Archdeacon speaks with Leonard about Sidney’s condition. The Archdeacon contemplates cutting out the dead wood and replacing it with Leonard. Leonard doesn’t seem interested, but the Archdeacon encourages him to think about it. Sidney ridicules Sam and attempts to learn about his whereabouts, while Gary was hanged. Before Mrs. Maguire leaves the Hopkins home, she tells Amanda she took the vow once and the better days never arrived.

She also admits that how it starts is usually exactly how it ends. Back at home, Sam and Sidney continue to argue, before Harding enters and chases Sam away. This forces Sidney to head to the police station and report the incident to Geordie. The conversation is awkward, but nobody throws a bunch this time around. Afterwards, Sidney returns home, gets drunk and fiddles around with Gary’s sports cards. He falls asleep and has a nightmare of the execution, only to awake when someone calls his name for help. Sidney heads to the cemetery and discovers blood on Abigail’s tombstone. Phil and Geordie are brought in the investigate. Moments later, Geordie discovers Sam’s coat. They discover car keys in the pocket and a car seconds later. The police begins searching around for Sam’s body, while Geordie and Sidney head off together. Meanwhile, Leonard and Daniel take a stroll and chat about the Archdeacon’s proposal. Daniel tells Leonard he is braver than he knows and should stand up to the Archdeacon.

leonard and archdeacon

Again, Daniel attempts to kiss Leonard, but is quickly turned away. Geordie and Sidney pay a visit to Harding and Agatha (Claudie Blakley). They quickly deny the crime, while moving around a bundle of hay. Agatha remains adamant that the pair were in bed together throughout the night. After they exit, Sidney apologizes to Geordie for their recent squabbles. They receive a call on the radio and learn that the vehicle has been traced back to Esther Bradley (Olivia Darnley). They immediately pay her a visit and learn that Sam has been living with Esther and her young daughter, Gilly (Nell Williams). It is also revealed that the Archdeacon was responsible for his placement. Sidney and Geordie grow concerned, when they learn Sam has grown close to Gilly. They scour through her room, but are unable to find anything of interest.

Leonard and Daniel Grantchester Finale

With the new information, Geordie and Sidney conclude that Sam is most likely still alive. They return to the station and update the rest of the force. Sidney flips through Abigail’s diary and confirms Sam is going through the same routine with Gilly that he did with Abigail. They track Gilly down to Sam’s favorite motel moments later. Sam is nowhere to be found, but Gilly is safe and taken back to the station. Geordie and Sidney have very little luck speaking to Gilly, so Margaret Ward (Seline Hizli) agrees to help. With her assistance, Gilly begins to open up and alludes to the fact that she was messing around with Sam. She also admits Sam left here and never showed back up. Afterwards, Margaret ridicules Sidney and admits his relationship with Geordie is like that of an old couple.

Robson Green Grantchester Finale

Sidney recalls his encounter with Harding at the bar and immediately comes to the conclusion that he must’ve been involved with Sam’s disappearance. They head to Harding’s home and finds Abigail’s bed a mess. They also remove the haystacks and discover blood underneath. Next, they speak to Harding and Agatha. Geordie arrests both, despite some concerns from Sidney. Meanwhile, Amanda shares a snack with Guy. She attempts to rekindle her relationship with her husband, but he remains unaffectionate. Afterwards, Sidney and Geordie interrogate Agatha. She provides them with an alibi and insists she was with Phyllis Bell (Helen Clyro), at the time of Sam’s disappearance. Once they pay a visit to Phyllis, they confirm her story and release her from custody.

Grantchester Finale Sidney and Geordie

They speak to Harding next and he admits he stabbed Sam and dumped the body in the woods. Sidney returns home and chats with Leonard about the Archdeacon and his decision to put Sam with a 14 year old girl. Leonard also comforts Sidney and admits he just needs to keep going. Sidney returns to the bar and asks the barkeeper about Harding’s words. She reveals he mentioned something about Abigail’s birthday. Meanwhile, Geordie and the police attempt to find the body with Harding’s guidance. Sidney returns to the tombstone and discovers a plant has been dug up. He returns to Phyllis and digs up the rose, which was given to her by Agatha. Inside, he discovers the murder weapon. A flashback shows Agatha stabbed Sam.

Grantchester Season 2 Finale Sam

Geordie learns that Harding is simply stalling and rushes off quickly. Sidney manages to track down Sam inside of an abandoned building. Sam is still bleeding and he immediately pleads for Sidney’s assistance and his forgiveness. Sidney contemplates leaving Sam behind, before he eventually offers help. Meanwhile, Leonard pays a visit to Phil and reports a crime. Geordie arrives just as Sidney is hauling Sam out of the building. Agatha arrives and admits Abigail told her about the baby, but she didn’t help her. Leonard confronts the Archdeacon and tells him off, before confirming he will be charged with aiding Sam. Phil enters and we’ve likely seen the send of the Archdeacon. Before Sam is hauled away to the hospital, Geordie tells him to do the right thing for a change and drop the charges against the Redmonds. Sidney tells him he will keep him in his prayers.

Sidney and Geordie Grantchester Season 2

With his new confidence, Leonard heads to Daniel’s house and tells him about the good news. Unfortunately, another man exits and Daniel admits he couldn’t wait for Leonard forever. Sidney gives a sermon, while the Redmonds pay a visit to Phyllis. Afterwards, we see Geordie’s 50th birthday party, where Sidney gives a heartwarming speech. Jack Chapman arrives (Nick Brimble). Mrs. Maguire stuns everyone, when she gives him a big kiss. Sidney finds Leonard crying and comforts him. He insists a broken heart will get easier with time. Outside, Sidney and Geordie talk about Geordie’s experience in Burma. They also rekindle their relationship and share a big hug. At the end of the episode, Sidney takes Dickens to one of his and Amanda’s favorite hangout spots. As he turns to leave, Amanda arrives and reveals she has left Guy and has nothing left. Sidney admits she still has him, before they share a kiss and the episode ends.

Grantchester Finale Review

The Grantchester season 2 finale was great and brought a little bit of everything. There were plenty of comedic moments between Sidney and Geordie bickering back and forth. Leonard’s confidence booster was nice and it was good to see the Archdeacon finally be brought down. Unfortunately, the episode was depressing for Leonard, but ultimately good for Sidney in the love department. Of course, his relationship with Amanda isn’t likely going to last.

Sadly, we’ll have to wait for Grantchester’s 3rd season before we’ll find out. Until then, the Grantchester Series 2 Finale deserves a 9 out of 10. Be sure to catch up with previous Grantchester recaps right now.

After he leaves, Susan speaks with her colleague on the inside, Dr. Carlyle Probyn (Ed Hughes) and insists she’ll still be able to collect enough money to bribe the guards and make her escape. The man insists the guards will not help, without money upfront. Next, Edmund heads to the school to meet up with Mathilda. When he sees her, he notices soot on her collar and makes sure to point it out. Mathilda plays it off and pretends she was in school the whole day. During this time, Drake heads home and spends time with Rose. Their conversation turns bad and Rose begins to believe that Drake is angry with her, because she cannot give him a child. Drake attempts to reassure her otherwise, but his pleas fall on dead ears.

Drake and his men head to Hafeez’s location, which happens to be a meeting amongst local Muslim Patriotic League. Hafeez prepares to stand up and speak, before masked men enter and a fight breaks out. Hafeez makes a run for it, while everyone else is distracted. He manages to make his way outside, before being cornered. He is beaten briefly, before being saved by Major Haroun Al Qadir. Al Qadir quickly ushers the man over to the police station, where he can be questioned by Drake. Meanwhile, Reid and Mathilda receive a visit from Deborah Goren (Lucy Cohu). He also attempts to convince Reid that a vortex is coming and will wipe out the town, despite the pier being moved previously. Constantine returns Imran to Drake and admits he was wrong. He also agrees his punishment of Imran would’ve been more satisfying, if it would’ve helped with the case. Drake is called into his office, in order to chat with Reid. An argument quickly ensues and Drake ridicules Reid. He also agrees to hand over all files pertaining the Bloom’s case. They head to the dead room, in order to inspect Bloom’s victim. We see that the body is riddled with bite marks. The evidence presented by Drake points directly towards Isaac as the murderer, but Reid still remains skeptical.

Reid apparently agrees, as the episode comes to an end.

Ripper Street Season 4 Episode 1 Review

Ripper Street is back and it appears to be bigger, bolder and longer than ever before. We barely skip a beat from Season 3, as Susan is thrown into the slammer and awaits her execution. Isaac Bloom has found himself in a similar situation. Despite Edmund Reid’s desire to escape White Chapel with his daughter, he is ultimately pushed back into the fold. With the crew back together and Susan out of harm’s way, Season 4 is off to a good start. Reid will need to unravel the Bloom mystery, with or without support. Will he be able to do so, without drawing ire from his old pals?

All in all, a great episode, which deserves an 8.5 out of 10. Be sure to catch up with previous recaps of Ripper Street right now!

Jackson attempts to comfort Susan and convince her that Connor is in a good place. At the station, Reid and Sgt. Drum Drummond (Matthew Lewis) chat about the boy, while awaiting for Jackson’s arrival. Reid immediately identifies the boy as a workhouse boy and refers to the red iodine around his head, which is common practice for preventing ringworms. Reid tasks Drum with tracking down information about missing children from the workhouse, so they can give the boy a proper burial. Drum formally introduces himself, before Reid is whisked off and sworn into the police force once more.

Ripper Street Season 4 Jackson and Susan

Reid is given his badge and his first order, which involves investigating a collection of attacks with the victims losing their right hands. Reid consults with Drum, when a riot breaks out in the city between a group of hoodlums and the Salvation Army. Reid heads into the cells and speaks with the suspect in the hands case. Reid identifies the man as a costermonger, or a market trader, due to his dialect. He also believes the man is shelling out punishment to thieves, before noticing scars on the man’s palms. Reid puts two and two together and correctly identifies the man’s professional, oyster-shucker. Reid is interrupted, when the dead boy’s mother arrives at the police station. Reid meets with the woman (Sonya Cassidy), and agrees to show her the boy’s body. She admits the boy belongs to her, before Drum enters and identifies the boy as Tommy Riggs, who went missing from the Whitechapel Union Workhouse.

With that, Reid prepares to head to the workhouse. Before he departs, he orders Drum to investigate the area’s oyster sellers, so they can identify their suspect. Moments later, Reid is at the workhouse speaking with the manager, Cornelius Wilde (Jamie Ballard). Wilde admits he knew Riggs, but the boy ran away some time back. He also confirms that runaways are common, before providing Reid with a tour of the facility. Once they make it outside, Reid takes notice of the casual ward, which is currently being fumigated. Wilde insists the ward is only used for those that stay a day or so. Reid also learns that Tommy Riggs’ mother passed away some time ago. Meanwhile, Susan gives Jackson a gift, which is braided from her hair. He tells Susan to remain vigilant and watchful, while he is away at work. She agree to stay silent, visible and far away from their son.

Reid rushes back to the station only to discover that the woman has already fled. Drum provides Reid with the woman’s purse, which she left behind. Drum also reveals he has found three potential oyster traders. Reid immediately confirms it is the Middlesex Street trader and connects the crime to one from many years ago. He provides the name Orton and orders an autopsy for Tommy. Captain Jackson arrives just in time and admits he is ready for work. Reid comforts Jackson, before Drake enters and does the same. Despite their concerns, Jackson is adamant that he wishes to work and forget about his sorrows. At the moment, a riot victim is rushed in. Reid learns about the Salvation Army shelters attack from Drum. The attack resulted in the death of the group’s captain. Next, we jump into the dead room, where Captain Solomon Shaw’s body is inspected.

Drake rushes Reid away, before returning to the Captain’s body. Reid rushes out, as the new journalist, Rachel Castello (Anna Koval), watches from a distance. Reid pays a visit to Rose and gains insight into the boy’s pretend mother. With Rose’s assistance, the woman is identified as Leda Starling. As Reid prepares to leave, Augustus Dove (Killian Scott) enters with flowers and greets Rose. Reid uses Rose’s advice to track down Leda. This time, she barely remember Reid or the incident at the police station. However, she still confirms she is the mother of a lost boy and agrees to go to the workhouse with Reid.

At the workhouse, Leda is unable to recall her son’s name. However, she spots several boy, whom she insists is him. She causes an uproar, which brings ire from Cornelius. Cornelius admits she comes to the workhouse several times a week to look for her son, but denies he was ever an inmate at the facility. He agrees to contact the asylum, but Reid puts a halt to the decision and insists he’ll take care of her on his own. On the way out, Wilde seems to imply that Reid is sleeping with the distraught woman. At the station, Jackson inspects the woman and reveals she is suffering from syphilis. She is rational one moment, but irrational the next. Reid agrees to take her home for the night and take her to the asylum the following day, so he can learn more about her son. Next, Sgt. Frank Thatcher (Benjamin O’Mahony) brings Redskin Jake (Charley Palmer Rothwell) into the station and accuses him of the Captain’s murder. Jake attempts to deny the crime, before Reid enters and passes a note to Drake encouraging him to ask about the workhouse. Drake encourages Reid to leave and doesn’t question Jake. Mathilda arrives at the station and Drum seems lovestruck by her presence. Reid arrives moments later and they take Leda home together and prepare her a bed and food. That night, Drake pays a visit to Reid and ridicules him for stepping out of line. He insists Reid was only supposed to work on the costermonger case. Reid admits he has already identified the man as Percey Orton (Billy Seymour) and reveals he was carrying out the crimes just as his father previous did 20 years ago.

Drake admits that is precisely why he needs Reid, who admits he is not acting in opposition of his comrade. They share a drink together and chat about Reid’s current case. Drake doesn’t think the woman’s demented memories are good evidence. They both admit they love the excitement of White Chapel, before sharing a toast. That night, Leda awakes in the middle of the night calling for William and Barnabas. She admits her mind is currently clear and her son was afraid, because his friends, William and Barnabas, disappeared. After she finally calms down, Mathilda asks Reid about the woman’s insanity and that of her mother. She admits having Leda around is nice, since it makes her feel like her mother is still around. Later, Abel Croker (David Threlfall) chats with a potential business partner, Bo Nystrom (Jon Oigarden).

Ripper Street Bo Nystrom

Susan enters and intervenes. She manages to score a good deal for Croker. In the morning, Mathilda and Edmund are confronted by Castello. She attempts to acquire information from Reid regarding Bloom’s case, but Reid remains loyal to Drake and admits the case has been closed. She returns to her office and scours over her paperwork and maps associated with the case. In the dead room, Reid and Jackson inspect the boy’s body. Jackson admits he couldn’t have deteriorated that quickly within a week. Jackson prepares for the boy’s examination, before Drake enters. Jackson provides Drake with enough evidence to convict Jake. With that Drake and Reid prepare to speak with the man.

Jackson and Reid Ripper Street

Drake prepares to charge Jake, while Reid asks him about the workhouse. Jake reveals Wilde shut down the casual ward and pays the Salvation Army to take those that he deems to be worthless. Wilde is caught in a lie, when Jake admits the ward has been shut down for many months. Reid concludes that Wilde is interested only in managing costs. Jake insists the infirmary is far worse than the workhouse and many of those sent there are killed by an old black potion, which contains poison. Drake insists that the potion is simply a myth. However, a consultation with Jackson confirms a large quantity of iron in the boy’s system and he admits he is unable to rule out poisoning. Drake agrees to head to the workhouse and speak with Wilde.

Ripper Street Recap

Thatcher scours through the workhouse for evidence, while Drake and Reid visit the infirmary. The doors are locked and they’re unable to get inside. The nurses insists they’re combating an outbreak of Scarlet Fever and that the children are being quarantined. The duo then check out the casual ward. They notice the construction is awkward and the ceiling is slightly low. They eventually return to the Wilde’s office and interrogate him. Reid uses Wilde’s own books against him. Drake discovers a boy by the name of Jabas Starling within their records. Thatcher enters moments later with bottles of Blaud pills. He admits there are hundreds of bottles. With that, Wilde’s game comes to an end. Reid next checks out the book regarding deaths at the facility. None of the deaths have been documented.

ripper street s4 review

Next, the group heads to the casual ward. Drake admits it wasn’t the ceiling that was too low, but the floor too high. Reid tears up the floor and discover bodies underneath. Wilde insists the boys were ill and he was only doing them a favor, by ending their miserable lives quickly. On the streets, Jackson spots Connor misbehaving Rose. He returns home with Rose, sings to the boy and puts him to sleep. Rose encourages Jackson to visit the boy more and agrees to keep it secret from Drake. Croke visits and flirts with Susan, before giving her a share of the loot. He also provides her with documentation for all of his businesses and tells her to look it over. Next, Reid takes Leda to the asylum, while she continues rambling about her lost boy. In between her spats of insanity, she tells Reid he is a good man, while he tells her about his own once lost daughter. As the episode ends, Leda tells Reid he is forgiven.

Ripper Street Review

The second episode of season four was very dramatic and incredibly bleak. Edmund Reid’s first case back in White Chapel required him to relive his own past troubles. Leda suffered in the same way that Reid and his wife once did. The episode has brought about some questions. Why was Dove visiting Rose with flowers and what was his intention? What is Susan’s motive for buddying up to Abel Croker?

The episode was great and very depressing. A 9 out of 10 is deserved. Be sure to catch up with previous recaps of Ripper Street right now.

Ripper Street Review

The new casting choices for Ripper Street really paid off in this episode. Drum, Thatcher and Abel finally proved their worth. Each has their place and purpose. The series also continued with the trend of children and did an excellent job bringing the emotions. Ripper Street has always managed to build villains, who are despicable, yet easy to sympathize with. This episode was no different. A White World Made Red was yet another brilliant episode and another solid reason that Ripper Street is without a doubt Amazon’s best original series.

A 9 out of 10 is deserves. Be sure to catch up with our previous Ripper Street recaps right now!

Drake is upset with the fact that Reid conducted the investigation behind his back. Drake still remains adamant that the new information doesn’t mean Gower killed Tanner. Reid agrees, but admits it gives them enough reason to question him. With that, they need to track him down and Drake knows exactly where he could be. We see Deborah caring for Gower, before Reid and Drake arrive outside.

Ripper Street Review

Men of Iron, Men of Smoke was yet another incredibly effective episode of Ripper Street. The fourth season has done a fantastic job of delving into past episodes and this one is no different. The return of Thomas Gower once again played up the role of parenthood, while also throwing a rift between Reid and Drake once more.

Susan has finally revealed her truth motive. Will Jackson really follow through with her plan to steal a large quantity of jewelry and escape with Connor? The episode also brought the Isaac Bloom case back into the picture. It is almost certain Edmund Reid hasn’t forgotten about his friend. What will he uncover? Again, another excellent episode, which deserves a 9 out of 10. Be sure to catch up with our other Ripper Street recaps immediately!

When he gets closer, the bomb explodes and pushes him backwards. Croker and Nathaniel dispose of the coming guards, while Jackson and Susan grab a few items and everyone makes their escape.

Ripper Street Season 4 Review

No Wolves in Whitechapel was definitely an effective episode. First and foremost, the episode pushed Rose to her limit. She totally lost it. Despite being correct, nobody seemed to believe her, aside from Augustus, who obviously has his own motives. Now, we have a good ideal who is killing everyone, yet the motive remains a mystery. Perhaps the killer is just mental?

The episode has setup what should be a fascinating finale. Reid is on his own and Augustus and potentially manipulate Rose into providing him with information, which will incriminate everyone. And Jackson and Susan? What will those crazy birds do next? All in all, an excellent episode that deserves a 9.5 out of 10. Be sure to catch up with previous recaps of Ripper Street right now!

Despite Drake and Reid’s efforts, Jackson refuses to provide them with any helpful information. Reid attempts to convince Jackson to help them gain evidence against Dove. Jackson admits he only wishes he could. Drum enters seconds later and tells Drake that Castello is asked about her. Reid inspects Jackson’s cigarettes and quickly picks up on something. He tells Drum to inquire about the cigarettes and find out who is bringing them in.

Drake learns about Rose and Augustus. Reid comforts him and attempts to calm him down. He insists they need to bring Dove down, before telling Drake to head home. Drum tells Reid he has been able to find 3 potential shippers. He also admits the prison doctor inquired about the same several weeks ago. Reid pays a visit to Jackson and attempts to ask him about the cigarettes. Reid learns precisely where the cigarettes came from and what he’ll find when he heads there. As he departs, Jackson tells him to be careful, since there are all kinds of troubles there. Susan scours through the crates and is unable to find the rest of the vases, before Reid arrives and confronts her. She quickly comes to the realization that they were betrayed by Abel. During their conversation, Susan admits she was prepared to die, until she was allowed to get close to her son, Connor.

Ripper Street Season 4 Finale Captain Jackson

Before Reid can take Susan into custody, he is attacked by Nathaniel. Nathaniel prepares to kill Reid, but Reid slows him down, by talking about his childhood, his brother and his mother’s death. Susan also convinces Nathaniel to leave Reid alone. Reid attempts to persuade Nathaniel to say his brother’s name, but he rushes off. Drake confronts Rose and Dove, when they arrive home. Rose insists they didn’t do anything, but Drake bashes Dove a few times anyway. He also tells Dove that they’re coming for him. Reid transports Susan back to Leman Street, while the city’s residents throw food and waste in her direction. Drake walks down the road distraught, before seeing Susan. Susan is forced to give up her real name, Caitlin Swift, as she is booked into the jail by Drum.

Ripper Street Drum and Reid

Thatcher enters and tells Drake about the 50 policemen from A-Division, who have assembled at the Westminster Manor. In a carriage, Dove looks over the past justifiable homicides in Reid and Drake’s careers. He also reads a newspaper article about Theodore Swift (Ian McElhinney). He arrives at the manor and busts open the floor. Beneath, he discovers a corpse and a message written on the wall. It says, “Edmund Reid did this”. Reid and Drake learn that Dove has put out warrants for their arrest. Reid convinces Drake to fight and admits they’re going to need Susan and Jackson’s help. The pair release Jackson and collect Susan, before Reid collect the evidence from the dead room. The police begin to arrive outside. Thatcher and Drum agree to left the group go. They take a punch a piece and Jackson leads everyone outside with his gun.

Rose confronts the group outside. She argues with Susan, before giving her a slap in the face. She also threatens to kill Susan, if she ever sees her again. Drake speaks with Rose and asks her what happened to her, before the group makes their escape. Next, the group heads to the newspaper office. Reid speaks with Mathilda and tells her that she may hear things about him that he might not initially believe. He also insists he might have to go away for a while. She pleads with Reid to stay and he tells her to remain close to Drum, because he loves her. Castello is tasked with watching over Mathilda, before the group departs. Meanwhile, Drum speaks with Dove. He delivers him a note, which was provided by a young boy. Dove analyzes the note and rushes out. Croker guides Dove through the sewers to a location where Nathaniel is chained to a wall.

Abel tells Dove that Nathaniel needs to be put out of his misery. Initially, Dove is hesitant, but he eventually agrees. When Croker attempts to do the deed, Dove intervenes and stabs the old man. He soon releases his brother. During this time, Drake finds the wolf cloak, which has been worn by Nathaniel. Susan also agrees to show the men where they could potentially be hiding. She leads them down into the tunnels. Meanwhile, Augustus tells his brother to flee the city. Croker jumps into the conversation and insists Nathaniel is the teeth of the hurricane, the kraken waking. Dove admits he is, but he is also his brother. The pair rush off, before Drake and crew can arrive. They discover Abel, before separating. Drake makes his way to a dark corridor, where he is attacked by an unseen individual. He prompts the person to come out and fight.

Drake insists he is unafraid and has killed more men. Eventually, Nathaniel emerges and the pair fight. During the fight, Bennet stops and seems to give up hope. He insists there is no worse cruelty than the killing of love, before he prompts Nathaniel to feast on him. Nathaniel sinks his teeth into Drake’s neck and drops him to the ground, before making his escape. Reid and the others arrive to find Drake in a pool of blood. Reid attempts to stop the bleed and screams, as the episode concludes.

Ripper Street Finale Review

Wow! The Ripper Street Season 4 finale was undoubtedly spectacular. The unveiling of the evidence and the linking of Dove to Nathaniel were excellent. The episode, as the season’s previous, did a great job of resurrecting past seasons. Drake and Reid’s past deeds definitely came back to haunt them. The finale few scenes were intense, but unfortunately didn’t answer all questions.

The previous finales of Ripper Street were brave and different than anything else on television, because they wrapped everything up. This season’s finale took an American slant and left a cliffhanger. Although it was undoubtedly effective, I sincerely hope this isn’t a sign of things to come. Ripper Street needs to remain Ripper Street and not transform into something with mid-season finales and cheesy cliffhangers just to snag the viewer. Ripper Street isn’t The Walking Dead and doesn’t need such gimmicks.

Still, the ending was very effective and makes me want to watch the next episode as soon as it is released! All in all, a 9.5 out of 10 is deserved. Catch up with previous recaps of Ripper Street right now.

Cranford Season 1 Review

Cranford is a BBC period drama, which aired in 2007. The series takes place in the 1840s in a small town, which is unsurprisingly called Cranford. The series stars Judi Dench as Miss Matty Jenkyns, Julia McKenzie as Mrs Forrester, Imelda Staunton as Miss Pole and Lisa Dillon as Mary Smith. During the premiere episode, the women of Cranford are thrown into a tailspin, due to the arrival of a new doctor, Dr. Harrison (Simon Woods, Rome). Harrison arrives and immediately meets with the man he will soon replace, Dr. Morgan (John Bowe).

cranford tv series

While the women quickly work to learn more about the doctor, Harrison is quickly thrown to the wolves. Local carpenter, Jem Hearne (Andrew Buchan, Broadchurch), winds up breaking his arm. He is rushed to the doctor. All the while, the bone remains protruding from his arm. Dr. Morgan and Harrison argue over the appropriate treatment for the wound. Despite Morgan’s desire to amputate, Harrison believes he can fulfill Hearne’s desire and help him save his arm. The maneuver is risky and the local townswomen get all the wrong ideas. One moment, they believe Hearne’s arm will be removed. The next, they’re convinced the doctor has failed and Hearne is dead.

cranford season 1 review

Thankfully, Harrison manages to pull it off, with a little bit of assistance from the local women. Meanwhile, Harrison is introduced to Sophy Hutton (Kimberley Nixon). Harrison is quickly thrown head over hills for the woman. This becomes a recurring theme of the series, as Harrison consistently works to win Sophy’s heart and convince her father that he is good for her. Also, the youthful Harry Gregson (Alex Etel) is an integral aspect of the show. Harry is from a poor family and is forced to steal, in order to feed his siblings. Unfortunately, his father is caught redhanded. This puts Harry in direct contact with Mr Carter (Philip Glenister). Carter is surprisingly a caring man, who quickly takes Harry under his wing. The boy is already wise beyond his years and Carter begins providing his with instructions and teaching him to read.

miss pole cranford

There are plenty of interesting characters in Cranford and they come together to incite an array of emotions. Sure, the series delivers a lot of laughs and a few uplifting moments, but it is mainly bleak and depressing. The acting is wonderful and each of the actors and actresses deliver an excellent performance and help to make Cranford an enjoyable experience, despite the overall bleakness of the show. It could be said that Cranford borderlines on morbid and this will undoubtedly turn off a lot of viewers.

However, it delivers in the finale and finally offers a little happiness for some of the characters. All in all, Cranford is a good watch, although it takes a little while to get going. Stick with the series and it’ll begin to hook you in by the middle of the first episode. And of course, the finale is great, so the series is well worth the adventure. A 7.5 out of 10 is deserved.

YipTV Review – Free IPTV With Paid Upgrades

There is no doubt that more and more individuals are interested in cutting the cord. In order to successfully do so, without losing entertainment value, consumers need to find a viable alternative. YIP TV hopes to fill the void that has been left by the cord cut. The service is undoubtedly attractive, thanks to its free membership, with an optional premium upgrade. Although the premium member is definitely loaded with extra, YIP has done a good job compiling a very generous free member. Below, you’ll learn all about the service, its benefits and whether or not it is worth the upgrade.

yip tv reviews

What Is Yip TV?

In order to find information regarding the company behind YipTV, I had to do a bit of searching around, since there was no YipTV wiki of any kind. The company was founded in 2012 and is based out of West Palm Beach, Florida. Michael Tribolet co-founded the company. Michael has been involved in a few other innovations as well, including magicJack and he was once President of Vonage America. By analyzing the company’s press releases, it is clear to see that they’ve worked diligently gaining access to new channels and just recently passed the 100 channel mark.

YipTV And T-Mobile

Those that are T-Mobile customers will benefit tremendously from the YipTV. This is the case, thanks to a remember partnership between the two companies. YipTV has joined the Binge On program from T-Mobile. This will allow T-Mobile customers, with the right plans, to watch all of YipTV’s offerings on their phone, without using their monthly data. With data caps and overly expensive data plans prevalent today, this is definitely appealing.

No Equipment And No Contracts

As with the mass majority of Internet TV providers, YipTV requires no equipment and no contracts. This will undoubtedly entice a lot of people to join and helps to save money. Also, the thought of being able to bail out at any point in time is very reassuring. Really, there isn’t much to lose knowing you can simply cut the cord once more.

YipTV Channels

Of course, the biggest factor of all will come down to the channel lineup. As mentioned above, the service now offers more than 100 channels and the team behind the company seems to be working diligently and consistently to add more. It cannot compete with Xfinity, DirectTV, or Dish at this time, but the service’s offerings may very well be enough to attract some, especially those that want to watch BeIN Sport and other international sports related content. Below, you’ll find a list of some of the channels offered by YipTV.

  • BizTV, Destinos TV, FashionBox Live
  • The Church Channel, TBN, Tele Vid
  • Antena3, A 3 Series, Canal Tro, Canal Sur
  • 360 Tune Box, AZ Clic, JUCE TV, Mi Gente TV, Docubox HD, Films on Reel
  • HITN, Zoom, Lifedesign TV, FilmBox Art House, FilmBox Russia, Heroes HD
  • El Financiero Bloomberg TV, Bloomberg TV, Canal Tiempo, CB24
  • Euronews in 3 languages, Maya TV, Newsman, One America News, RT
  • beIN Sports, Fantasy Sports Network AYM Sports
  • TyC Sports, Sportskool, Fight Network, Lightbox HD
  • Fix & Foxi, Smile of a Child, Madscreen Box

Although the service seems to accommodate those of Spanish descent, it offers a little bit of something for everyone. Personally, I have only heard of a number of these channels, but a few of them would be enticing enough to convince me to upgrade.

YiP Plans

The plans offered by YiP are very simplistic. You can either join for free and become a free member, or you can upgrade to the premium membership. Below, you’ll find a breakdown of the two different memberships.

  • Free Membership – No charge. YiP can be watched on 2 devices. Offers 18 international channels and 9 free bonuses channels for your first seven days.
  • Premium Membership – $14.99 a month, after promo ends. 100+ channels and you gain access to everything, including beIN Sports and Hola TV. Can be streamed on up to five devices.

The free member is truly fairly generous and well worth checking out. For the premium membership, you’ll still save money and it’ll be well worth it, if you find out that the channel lineup suits your liking.

Performance

In order for an IPTV or OTT television service to be worth your money, it needs to be fast. Lag and buffering isn’t going to cut it. During my time with Yip TV, I must admit that the service worked extremely well. The platform relies on Cloud based delivery and is provided by Akamai. The service is definitely great and doesn’t lag or buffer to the point of annoyance.

Availability

The YipTV is widely available and works seamlessly with an array of different devices, including Android phones and tablets. The service is now available with Chromecast, as well. And of course, it works on your computer, as well as iOS devices.

Overall Assessment

All in all, there is definitely a lot to like to about YipTV. The service’s performance was excellent, during my time with it, and the channel lineup is decent, although geared towards an international audience. Still, there are a few gems in there like Bloomberg, OAN, Fightbox and Fight Network. RT is a hoot, but it can be watched for free anyway.

The beIN Sport addition will certainly attract a lot of people. Is it worth $14 a month? Possibly so, if you like the channel lineup. We can only hope Yip continues to grow into the future.

Wanted TV Series Review

As a big fan of Australian dramas, I consistently try to keep an eye on the country’s latest releases. Whether or not international viewers are aware of it, the Aussies have put out some amazing content as of late, including Anzac Girls, Glitch, Rake and Wentworth. The latest from the Seven Network comes in the form of a reincarnation of the classic Thelma & Louise. The new drama, Wanted, was written by Rebecca Gibney, who also plays one of the lead roles. Rebecca plays Lola Buckley, while her upscale counterpart, Chelsea Babbage, is played by Geraldine Hakewill.

wanted tv series rebecca gibney

The two women, who barely know one another, are thrown into an intense manhunt, which pits them against thugs, corrupt cops, and a sly hitman. The women are first taken hostage, by Chris Murphett (Ryan Corr). Gibney’s character, Lola Buckley, seems a little too wise for her own good, while Hakewill’s Chelsea Babbage remains naive and often becomes nothing more than baggage. Still, the women wind up bonding and developing a sort of mother/daughter relationship, while attempting to escape dirty cop, Ray Stanton (Nicholas Bell), and his unwitting accomplish, Josh Levine (Stephen Peacocke).

anton maric wanted

When Ray is unable to track the women down and recover a large lump sum of money, he enlists the assistance of his over loyal hitman, Boke (Mirko Grillini). Throughout the women’s journey, more and more about their pasts begin to unravel. Lola Buckley isn’t some simple cashier and Chelsea surprisingly has troubles of her own. And despite their incompetency at times, the duo manage to overcome quite a few harrowing situations. During their adventure, Josh Levine begins his own investigation and works against Ray Stanton, despite still trusting his comrade.

chelsea babbage

So how is the show? Well, there is plenty to like about Wanted. The duo of Chelsea and Lola are dynamic and definitely make for many interesting scenarios. They bring a lot of humor and help to keep the show interesting. However, there are lots of bleak moments as well. The show does an excellent job of mixing up the emotions and drawing in the viewer. Unfortunately, the show has many, many flaws. The most notable are undoubtedly the plot holes.

Boke’s role is undeniably cheesy. The character is simply too wise and capable to be realistic. One moment, he’ll find himself struggling to find his next lead. The next, he’ll be right behind out starlets. Things happen randomly to some degree.

Still, the show isn’t terrible. In fact, it is pretty good. Would I watch a 2nd season? Maybe. It is good, not great, but at just 6 episodes, it worth a watch. The series deserves a 7 out of 10.

The magnificent Indian Summers has returned and this season begins three years, after the previous. It is March of 1935 and tension is rising throughout the subcontinent, while the British government works on a new deal for India. Indians are shown celebrating in the streets. Aafrin (Nikesh Patel) is shown typing something on a typewriter. We see that Aafrin has a new lady friend, Kaira (Sugandha Garg). She tells him to remain quiet and that one would to anyone would likely result in the couple being hung. The pair admit they’re willing to give up anything for their current cause. While Aafrin continues pounding away, a group of children rush through the streets and cross some police barriers. They’re chased by the authorities, as one of the boys grabs a grenade from his bag and tosses it into the vehicle of the Viceroy, Lord Willingdon (Patrick Malahide).

indian summers season 2

Aafrin finishes his paper, which is headlined with “A Strike For Freedom”. The grenade does not explode. Next, Ralph enters the Viceroy’s room and discovers him laid out on the bed. It seems the man has suffered from a heart attack. Ralph immediately discusses the situation with Ronnie Keane (Rick Warden) and attempts to contemplate a motive for the attack. Ronnie admits the grenade had nothing in it and considers it nothing more than a prank, yet Ralph admits the timing is far too coincidental. He insists the move is a way for the Indians to declare their rejection for the new British bill. During this time, Aafrin takes the document to the printing press, hands it over and pays a small sum of money. On the way out, he runs into the business’ owner.

Next, Aafrin returns to the office, where he gets a visit from his sister, Sooni (Aysha Kala). They speak about Aafrin’s recent trip to Bengal and Sooni pesters her brother. During their conversation, Aafrin contemplates telling Sooni his secret, but he stops himself and doesn’t. Afterwards, Cynthia (Julie Walters) chats with Ralph (Henry Lloyd-Hughes) about the Lord’s heart attack. Cynthia insists the event could give Ralph his chance to become the Viceroy. Ralph agrees he’ll think about it. The pair head to a private room, where Cynthia gives Ralph a key and tells him to hide it with his life. She admits it’ll give him access to a very discreet room. Next, Aafrin visits the Whelan home. While there, he meets with Alice’s husband, Charlie Havistock (Blake Ritson).

Indian Summers Season 2 Blake Ritson

Alice emerges and Charlie confirms Alice’s new surname as Havistock. Charlie reveals he got a job at the Imperial Bank, which is his reason for visiting the area. Ralph emerges moments later with his new wife, Madeleine Mathers (Olivia Grant). The duo catch up, before Ralph receives a note from Naseem Ali Khan (Tanmay Dhanania). Ralph hands the note to Aafrin and admits someone is trying to hurt them. The note is the one Aafrin was writing earlier in the episode. Ralph enlists Aafrin’s help tracking down the one responsible. Before Aafrin can leave, he chats with Alice in private, before she is called away by her husband. Next, Ralph pays a visit to Khan and shows him the grenade. He also asks for Khan’s help finding the responsible party. Aafrin returns to his Independence Party allies and releases the boy, who was responsible for the grenade.

Despite the pleas from Naresh (Arjun Mathur) and the others, Aafrin lets the boy go and run free. Aafrin tells Kaira that Ralph and the others are going to interview the people at the printing press. He also tells her about running into the man on his way outside. Aafrin is clearly scared and asks for help. Next, Khan and Ralph speak with the people at the printing press. The owner tells them that it was an Indian man, who was neither Muslim or Hindu. Meanwhile, Aafrin and Naresh bury some dynamite. Naresh reveals his desire to blowup the Ogre House and insists Aafrin is the key to the plan. Aafrin refuses to help and angrily attacks his new friend, after he threatens Aafrin’s father, Darius (Roshan Seth). Naresh insists they’re at war and are going to kill the Viceroy. He again threatens Aafrin’s family and insists they’ll be safe, as long as he plays his part. At home, Darius and Roshana (Lillete Dubey) chat about Aafrin and his 2-year stay in Bengal.

indian summers season 2 roshan seth

Darius goes through Aafrin’s belongings and discovers his drawings of Alice. Next, Ralph and Aafrin chat. Ralph notices Aafrin’s dirty shoes and asks him about them, before accusing Aafrin of distributing the pamphlet. He also reveals Charlie took Aafrin for a thief. Ralph depart quickly, without saying anything else. We jump to the school and see Sarah (Fiona Glascott) mentoring the children. She does so, until Douglas (Craig Parkinson) arrives and sends the kids away. He tells Sarah that they said goodbye to Adam this morning. Sarah insists they’ll find good homes for all of the kids. Douglas admits he is connected to the school and that it will not be easy to let it go. Aafrin returns to his office and finds Keane and the printing press boss watching him from afar. Ralph tells Madeleine about Cynthia’s recommendation to send the Viceroy home and claim the spot. Ralph contemplates whether or not he is truly ready and if the people are ready for him.

Bhupinder (Ash Nair) interrupts moments later and gives Ralph a note from Keane. Ralph rushes off seconds later and pays a visit to Aafrin. Ralph tells Aafrin that he has the criminal and will arrest him tonight. Meanwhile, Kaiser (Indi Nadarajah) and Cynthia chat about the Viceroy’s condition. Cynthia admits she wouldn’t have left it to chance and would’ve taken him in his bathtub. Ralph pays a visit to Cynthia’s discreet room and makes contact with Kaira. He asks her about the man in the printers and gives her Aafrin’s name. We do not hear her answer. Next, we jump to the club, where Cynthia official opens the new member’s library. Aafrin rushes back to Kaira. At this point, he is freaking out badly. He takes a cyanide pill from her and sticks it in his pocket. Afterwards, Ralph speaks with the Viceroy about the incident.

He tells Viceroy that he needs to stay firm, since it is his time to shine. Aafrin arrives at the club, before Ralph and the Viceroy do the same. Cynthia is not happy with the Viceroy’s arrival and the fact that he seems to be in good health. Aafrin heads to the balcony and watches Charlie and Alice from afar. Charlie forces Alice to drink alcohol, until she drops and breaks the glass. Then, Charlie picks up Perky and tells him to ignore his mother, since she is drunk again. Charlie insists they need to pretend not to know her. Darius interrupts Aafrin and tells him his mother is looking for him. Aafrin prepares to tell his father about the danger ahead, but doesn’t. Darius catches a glimpse of Alice.

A few hours pass and Aafrin prepares to leave. He runs into Alice on his way out and they argue about Aafrin departure and Alice’s marriage. Alice admits he has been lying about her husband to everyone and actually married him, when she was just 17. After a brief argument, the pair kiss. Kaiser watches the couple from a distance. After the kiss ends, Alice tells Aafrin he must now go to hell. Aafrin returns inside and Ralph tells him that the printing press man attempted to place the blame on him earlier. Ralph admits they were able to discover the truth and are currently working to flush out the perpetrator. We jump back to Naresh and watch him run from a group of armed men. He is shot, as he attempts to run away. Kaiser takes his newfound information to Cynthia and the episode comes to an end.

Indian Summers S2 E1 Review

Well, it is definitely nice to see Indian Summers return. The first season was brilliant and left me wanting more. The first episode of the second season might’ve jumped ahead a few years, but it wasted no time getting into the action. We also see that Aafrin has embraced his position with the Independence Party and wastes no time getting in over his head.

Although he managed to escape this time, he likely has more trouble ahead. Cynthia now has her sights set on Aafrin and Alice. She may prove to be a much more formidable nemesis. All in all, the episode was a good setup for the season and already has me hooked back into the Indian drama. An 8 out of 10 is deserved. Be sure to catch up with previous recaps of Indian Summers right now!

Afterwards, Aafrin has a run in with Naresh, who threatens him with a knife and demands he get evidence regarding whoever turned him in. Back at the mansion, Adam, Ralph and Alice share a drink. Madeleine once again notices the interactions between Ralph and Adam. Her suspicions begin to compound. Aafrin meets up with Kaira attempts asks her about the informant. She refuses to provide him with any information and insists he should follow Naresh’s commands and steal the evidence. Ralph pays a visit to Cynthia and attempts to gain reassurance that he’ll be able to become the Viceroy. Cynthia gives him a pep talk and tells him to man up. Charlie pays one of the mansion’s maids to track Alice’s movements. He learns that she has traveled to the school with Leena.

We jump to the school and witness the confrontation between Leena, Sarah (Fiona Glascott) and Douglas (Craig Parkinson). Alice reveals that Leena will be teaching Percy (Caleb Allen) for the time being, while Sarah admits the family wants to leave and return home. It is clearly obvious Doug still has feelings for Leena. Aafrin provides Ralph with information regarding Naresh. Ralph simply jokes about the terrorist and instructs Aafrin to put the paperwork in his office. Aafrin tries to do so, but it stopped by the new head clerk. Back outside, the Viceroy and Hawthorne discuss the new Indian act. Hawthorne admits Churchill was apoplectic. Ralph details his plan for reforming the country and providing something that can resemble real change. Hawthorne tells Ralph that delivering that type of message would most certainly get the messenger shot.

Next, Aafrin manages to slip into Ralph’s office and steal evidence regarding the informant. He immediately returns to Kaira and confronts her with the paperwork. She admits she has been working with Ralph for many years and reveals she has done so to protect her son. Despite Kaira’s pleas, Aafrin insists he has to give Naresh something. With that, Aafrin comes up with a plan to help Kaira escape the area. Back at the mansion, Ralph bums money from Charlie (Blake Ritson). They next run into Alice. Charlie immediately belittles his wife, before cutting off a strand of her hair and revealing he’ll put in a locket. Alice and Charlie do not seem impressed with the idea. Next, Cynthia arrives downstairs. Cynthia takes Alice outside and confronts her about Aafrin. Cynthia tells her not to bring down her brother with her affair. She also attempts to pressure Alice into leaving as soon as possible.

Next, Aafrin helps Kaira cross through the guard check point and leave the leave. At the Dalal household, Daris (Roshan Seth), Roshana (Lillete Dubey), and Sooni (Aysha Kala) have lunch with friends. Sooni is introduced to Boman Harish (Zaqi Ismail). Their friendly lunch quickly turns into an argument, as usual. Meanwhile, Aafrin joins the others at lunch. Ralph encourages everyone to eat up, before Leena walks by and attracts the attention of Hawthorne. Alice tells Ralph about her intention to let Leena teach Percy. Hawthorne makes Leena the butt end of a joke, before chatting with her outside in private. Aafrin receives a note that his father has gotten ill. He is forced to leave the mansion and return home quickly. Cynthia chats with Leena outside and tells her that her reputation has been ruined, due to her relationship with Doug. Cynthia tells Leena not to abuse Ralph’s trust and Leena agrees to keep Adam a secret.

Aafrin rushes home and finds his father sleeping, before he is caught off guard by a visit from Naresh. Naresh introduces himself and quickly sends Aafrin after the document. Back at the mansion, Alice plays the piano, while Charlie sings. When Alice makes a mistake, Charlie ridicules her in front of the others. This continues, until Ralph stops Charlie and escorts Alice outside. Alice tells her brother that she must return home. Ralph is adamant that he won’t allow it and confirms he spends many days wanting to kill Charlie. After Ralph escorts Alice back inside, his wife stops him and pulls him aside. During their conversation, Ralph explodes and tells Madeleine that Adam is indeed his son. She asks Ralph, if he forgot to mention it over the past 3 years. Their conversation is quickly interrupted by Hawthorne, who wishes to know more about Ralph’s father.

Naresh takes Aafrin back to the camp and attempts to get him to spill the beans on Kaira. Aafrin doesn’t, but it is too late anyway. Naresh releases Kaira from his prison and holds her at gun point. Back at the mansion, Ralph and Hawthorne chat about the British government’s plan for India. Hawthorne admits he is there for Ralph. Ralph admits he wants the job to fulfill his dying father’s wish. When asked if he supports the bill, Ralph agrees he does, but he wonders if there was more he could do. He admits he would like to place India on the same level as Canada and Australia. Despite Hawthorne’s concerns, Ralph agrees he’d rather try and go down in history as a clown than to not try at all. Naresh takes Aafrin and Kaira to a riverbank, where he interrogates the pair.

Aafrin attempts to convince Naresh that he fabricated the documents and that there is no Black Kite. Naresh seems to believe it, but quickly turns the gun on Kaira and fires. He tells Aafrin that Black Kite was the codename he used for her too, as the episode ends.

Indian Summers S2 E2 Review

Again, Indian Summers seems to be holding nothing back this season. Aafrin has undoubtedly gotten himself in over his head, by working with Naresh and the Independence Party. Kaira is now dead and Aafrin’s family could be at risk. Of course, he is not the only one, who is facing troubles. Ralph has found himself in hot water with his wife. And Alice’s dilemma is far worse. Charlie is a relentless a-hole and he isn’t going anywhere soon.

All in all, the episode was great and very intense. An 8 out of 10 is deserved. Be sure to catch up with previous recaps of Indian Summers right now!

Indian Summers Review

The 3rd episode of Indian Summers was excellent. The return of Ian McLeod was well received and it appears he will undoubtedly become a major factor in the season. Charlie continues to be an a-hole, yet he manages to keep things interesting with his devious behavior. Now that Sooni has a hunch about Aafrin’s knowledge of Kaira’s murder, Aafrin will be forced to confess to someone instead of holding it in like he has all season.

How will his sister handle the news? She’s never been one to sit idly by and do nothing. All in all, a great episode, which deserves an 8.5 out of 10. Be sure to catch up with previous recaps of Indian Summers right now!
